【摘要】:Permittivityanddissipationfactorarefundamentaldesignparametersfordesignofmicrowavecircuitry.Permittivityplaysaprincipalroleindeterminingthewavelengthandtheimpedanceoftransmissionlines.Dissipationfactor(alongwithcopperlosses)influenceattenuationandpowerlosses.Thistestmethodissuitableforpolymericmaterialshavingpermittivityintheorderoftwotoeleven.Suchmaterialsarepopularinapplicationsofstriplineandmicrostripconfigurationsusedinthe1to18GHzrange.Thistestmethodissuitablefordesign,development,acceptancespecifications,andmanufacturingqualitycontrol.Note38212;SeeAppendixX1foradditionalinformationregardingsignificanceofthistestmethodandtheapplicationoftheresults.1.1Thistestmethodpermitstherapidmeasurementofapparentrelativepermittivityandlosstangent(dissipationfactor)ofmetal-cladpolymer-basedcircuitsubstratesintheX-band(8to12.4GHz).1.2ThistestmethodissuitablefortestingPTFE(polytetrafluorethylene)impregnatedglassclothorrandom-orientedfibermats,glassfiber-reinforcedpolystyrene,polyphenyleneoxide,irradiatedpolyethylene,andsimilarmaterialshavinganominalspecimenthicknessof1.6mm.Thematerialsareapplicabletoserviceatnominalfrequencyof9.6GHz.Note18212;Seeforadditionalinformationaboutrangeofpermittivity,thicknessotherthan1.6mm,andtestsatfrequenciesotherthan9.6GHz.1.3Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
