【摘要】:Duetosafetyconsiderations,theCompressedGasAssociation(CGA)andothershaveproducedguidelineswhichaddressin-serviceinspectionofNGVfuelcontainers(see2.2-2.4).AEexaminationislistedasanalternativetotheminimumthree-yearvisualexaminationwhichgenerallyrequiresthatthecontainerberemovedfromthevehicletoexposetheentirecontainersurface.TheAEmethodallowsx201C;in-situx201D;examinationofthecontainer.Slow-fillpressurizationmustproceedatflowratesthatdonotproducebackgroundnoisefromflowofthepressurizingmedium.Acousticemissiondataarerecordedthroughoutapressurizationrange(thatis,50%to100%ofAEexaminationpressure).Fast-fillpressurizationcanbeusedifholdperiodsareprovided.Acousticemissiondataarerecordedonlyduringtheholdperiods.Note18212;Fast-fillpressurizationislessappropriateforcarbon(orgraphite)compositesduetothelowersensitivityofcarbonfiberstostressrupturecomparedtootherfibers.BackgroundnoiseabovethethresholdwillcontaminatetheAEdataandrenderthemuseless.Usersmustbeawareofthefollowingcommoncausesofbackgroundnoise:highfillrate(measurableflownoise);mechanicalcontactwiththevesselbyobjects;electromagneticinterference(EMI)andradiofrequencyinterference(RFI)fromnearbybroadcastingfacilitiesandfromothersources;leaksatpipeorhoseconnectionsandairborneparticles,insects,rainandsnow.Thispracticeshouldnotbeusedifbackgroundnoisecannotbeeliminatedorcontrolled.5.2Sensitivityisinfluencedbyfactorsthataffectelasticwavepropagation,sensorcouplingandsignalprocessorsettings.5.3ItispossibletomeasureAEfromAEsourcesthatcannotbeverifiedbyotherNDEmethods.1.1Thispracticeprovidesguidelinesforacousticemission(AE)examinationoffilament-woundcompositepressurevessels,forexample,thetypeusedforfueltanksinvehicleswhichusenaturalgasfuel.1.2Thispracticerequirespressurizationtoalevelequaltoorgreaterthanwhatisencounteredinnormaluse.Thetanks''pressurizationhistorymustbeknowninordertousethispractice.Pressurizationmediummaybegasorliquid.1.3Thispracticeislimitedtovesselsdesignedforlessthan690bar[10,000psi]maximumallowableworkingpressureandwatervolumelessthan1m3or1000L[35.4ft3].1.4AEmeasurementsareusedtodetectemissionsources.Othernondestructiveexamination(NDE)methodsmaybeusedtogainadditionalinsightintotheemissionsource.ProceduresforotherNDEmethodsarebeyondthescopeofthispractice.1.5Thispracticeappliestoexaminationofnewandin-servicefilament-woundcompositepressurevessels.1.6Thispracticeappliestoexaminationsconductedatambienttemperaturesabove20x00B0;C[70x00B0;F].Thispracticemaybeusedatambienttemperaturesbelow20x00B0;C[70x00B0;F]ifprovisionhasbeenmadetofilltothetank''sratedpressureat20x00B0;C[70x00B0;F].1.7Units8212;ThevaluesstatedineitherSIunitsorinch-poundunitsaretoberegardedseparatelyasstandard.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemmaynotbeexactequivalents;therefore,eachsystemshallbeusedindependentlyoftheother.Combiningvaluesfromthetwosystemsmayresultinnon-conformancewiththestandard.1.8Product Code:SAE AMS3302
